International Association of Business Communicators to Host In-Person World Conference in New York City from June 26-29
By IABC Staff | May 18, 2022
CHICAGO, May 18, 2021 — The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) announces that its World Conference – a gathering of marketing, communication, and branding professionals from around the globe – will be held in-person next month for the first time since 2019.
IABC World Conference 2022 will take place June 26-29 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, New York City. Keynoters will be Frank Shaw, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Communications, and Lisa Osborne Ross, Edelman’s U.S. Chief Executive Officer. Breakout sessions will highlight communication practices around such timely topics as climate change, DEI and ESG.
“Attendees at this year’s World Conference will find a range of session formats and topics, as well as much-needed person-to-person connection,” said Peter Finn, IABC’s Executive Director. “Bringing people together from all over the world to meet other experts and practitioners is an unparalleled professional development opportunity for communicators from every industry.”
Of particular note at this year’s World Conference is the IABC Gift of Communication Initiative – typically an annual event in which non-profits are offered pro bono advice from communication professionals. This year, a Gift of Communication Idea Exchange will be funded by conference attendees, with proceeds going to support efforts promoting free speech and combatting misinformation in Russia’s unconscionable invasion of Ukraine.
Registration information for World Conference 2022 can be found at wc.iabc.com.
