IABC Foundation earns a 2019 "Power of A" Award for Gift of Communication

The IABC Foundation is honored to be among this year’s winners of the 2019 ASAE Power of A Awards, the highest industry honor for associations. The Foundation’s Gift of Communication program, which pairs communication professionals with local nonprofits to offer pro bono communication advice, earned a Silver award for “go[ing] above and beyond their everyday mission to undertake initiatives that benefit America and the world.”

“We applaud the IABC Foundation for creating and implementing such a collaborative initiative that strengthens society,” said Sharon J. Swan, FASAE, CAE, the CEO of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and chair of the Power of A Awards judging committee. “Their initiative exemplifies how no other sector helps improve lives as comprehensively as the association community.”

The international Gift of Communication event held this past June 2019 in Vancouver, British Columbia, was one of the most well attended to date, including not only IABC members, but also representatives of 15 local nonprofit organizations from the community. The IABC Foundation looks forward to building this program and the opportunity to continue to give back to the communities it serves.
