Fore the Love of Golf

York Region is home to one third of all golf courses in the Greater Toronto Area, and in 2019 York Region welcomed the CP Canadian Women’s Open for the first time. To promote the LPGA events and support tourism in our nine local cities and towns, York Region developed the “Fore the Love of Golf” campaign to connect residents, visitors and golfers to the local golf industry. The campaign strived to raise awareness of the CP Canadian Women’s Open event through social promotion, promote the golf industry as part of York Region’s tourism and economic strategies and encourage the broad use of the Region’s Golf Course Finding tool.
