Alain Legault receives 2019 Chair's Award

Congratulations to Alain Legault on winning the 2019 Chair’s Award.
The chair of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Ginger D. Homan, SCMP, announced Alain Legault as the recipient of the association’s 2019 Chair’s Award. The award was conferred on Legault 11 June 2019 in Vancouver during the Excellence Gala at the 2019 IABC World Conference for his tireless work on behalf of IABC.
The Chair’s Award is conferred annually upon volunteer IABC members whose efforts, which include positively enhancing the organization’s reputation and image, have gone above and beyond that of what volunteers may usually undertake. Selected by the international executive board (IEB) chair, any current IABC member active for the previous five years may be nominated for the award.
Alain Legault | A seasoned, bilingual communicator, Alain Legault joined IABC Montréal chapter board in 2010 and headed the chapter from 2013 to 2015 before joining IABC’s international executive board as a director in 2016 and served as IABC treasurer in 2018. He is currently the director of corporate communication and public relations for the Montréal Transit Authority (STM). Legault was previously director of communication, public Affairs and government relations at Edouard-Montpetit College, chief of staff for the director of service de police de Montréal and taught media relations at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He holds a BA from McGill University and a Master’s degree in communication from UQAM.
